108 individuals and firms named on latest tax defaulter list by Revenue

A total of 108 individuals and companies have been named on the latest tax defaulter list by Revenue, The total value of settlements reached in all the cases was €18,522,329.

The largest single settlement was worth more than €1.54 million

Dublin accounted for the highest number of defaulters at 25, followed by Cork (13), Donegal (9) and Galway (7). Three counties had no defaulter in the latest list - Carlow, Mayo and Wicklow One defaulter was based in Northern Ireland.

Farming was the most common occupation among the list of defaulters with 10 individuals either a full-time or part-time farmer. Other occupations to feature on the list were company directors (7) and building contractors (6) .

121 individuals were also fined in excess of €316,000 for failing to file income tax returns

The biggest number of defaulters were located in Dublin (38) followed by Galway (19), Longford (13) and Cork and Offaly (10 each).

Farmers accounted for the biggest professional group fined for not filing income tax returns - 15 cases. Others were company directors (8), landlords (7) and taxi drivers (5).
